Cayla and Lucas got married just a few miles away from their hometown in Henderson, Kentucky at Camp Breckinridge Museum & Art Center.
The bride got ready in the upstairs area with her bridesmaids. Then her mother came with her beautiful wedding gown. She got into her dress in front of the beautiful open windows. Next we went outside and took some gorgeous pictures in front of the pond behind the venue. We were taking portraits of the bride and we’re struggling with the wind and then the wind picked up the veil and blew it straight up. It was a really great spontaneous moment and I was glad I had my camera ready.
Then it was time for the first look. Lucas joined us outside and when Cayla turned around everyone was in tears. It was such a sweet moment between a groom and his bride. They saw each other and it was like nobody else was around.
The ceremony took place inside with their closest family and friends. During the ceremony they tied a knot together to symbolize the two of them coming together as one. It was a fun and different way to show their love for each other. Cayla’s mother owns a bakery in downtown Henderson called The Cake Stand, so she made the cake and some special sugar cookies that are Lucas’ favorite. His family owns J & B Barbecue & Catering which is also a favorite of most Hendersonians and his family provided the feast. It was nice to see both families come together to celebrate such a beautiful couple. The rest of the night was filled with dancing until nobody could dance anymore. I’m happy to final share these pictures with Cayla and Lucas.I hope they enjoy reliving their special day.
